How To Replace The RO Reverse Osmosis Membrane in Water Treatment System

Part I: Preparation

1.1 Prepare all tools that may be used during the construction process;

1.2 Clean the upstream water inlet pipeline;

1.3 Carefully evaluate the quality of the incoming water;

1.4 Check whether the pipeline has leaks;

1.5 Prepare water-soluble lubricant (chemically pure glycerin);

1.6 Ensure that all parts and chemicals used are complete;

1.7 Check the operation of the pre-treatment system and the normal water output.

Part II: Dismantling of old reverse osmosis membrane and installation of new membrane

·  Dismantle the pressure vessel and store parts systematically.

·  Remove the old membrane and rinse the pressure vessel.

·  Check the brine seal ring on the new membrane for correct orientation.

·  Insert the new membrane element into the pressure vessel and apply lubricant to the "O" ring of the connecting pipe.

·  Repeat for additional membrane elements until all are installed.

·  Install the thrust ring and check the "O" ring on the element adapter.

·  Align and install the end plate clamping ring and adjust the gap with an adjustment sheet.

·  Repeat for all pressure vessels and connect external pipelines.

Part III: Equipment Debugging

1. Prepare for debugging: calibrate instruments, set sampling points, check connections, and test rotating equipment.

2. Open discharge valves and adjust the high-pressure pump outlet valve.

3. Use low-pressure pre-treated water to eliminate air from the system and check for leaks.

4. Perform low-pressure flushing for at least 6 hours or follow a soaking procedure.

5. Confirm all valves are correctly set and start the high-pressure pump with controlled flow.

6. Gradually open the high-pressure pump outlet valve and adjust recovery rates.

7. Check chemical dosages and measure inlet water pH.

8. After 1 hour of operation, record parameters and transition to automatic mode.

9. After 24-48 hours, review system performance data and confirm normal operation to complete construction.
